In the bicycles I use the green stuff, some was put in by the store and I put some in some. I sure many folks were not checking pressures as often as I do, nor riding as much as we were then. 8 or 16 miles a day on farm and irrigation roads. Pedal bikes needs lots of TLC when used like that daily. We've actually had blow outs where we have bruised the casing and caused the material to break down. Just like car tires were 40 years ago. Hardly ever see that even here in farm country.
